Countdown: 1 Day

I just went out with my neighbors (Emily and her brother) and my sister to have a popular Taiwanese late night snack at the nightmarket place in Hsinchu, Chen Huang Miao. We had noodles, duck, and duck blood at this little sit-in place. It was... interesting! I wouldn't say duck blood is one of my new favorite foods, but it was definitely interesting. It was kind of chewy, but seasoned well. I'm always amazed at how Taiwanese people, or, Asian people in general, can eat all sorts of things and make it appetizing, too! We stopped for bubble tea on the way home (gonna miss it!) and it was a fun time of just hanging out and chatting about life. I love my neighbors.

Not sure what's going on here, but it's a good one!

Tomorrow, I'm going to have lunch with my girls (miss you, Joycerz!), since Ames is back and we have a day of overlap and then we're going to go to Rose Tea House (our usual spot) and catch up before I come home, shower, watch my Taiwanese show (don't know the English - it's a singing competition, sort of like American Idol), sleep, and then wake up at 4 AM to catch a plane back to Ann Arbor. Kind of sad about leaving, but I'm excited for my parents to meet my friends this time around as well. :)
